“They are group of enthusiastic and passionate professionals.”
All of our clients are well traveled, educated, curious... but best of all, they are wonderful people! We have been blessed by getting to know so many wonderful people from around the world.
The nicest compliment we ever received was by the old lady in Dubrovnik who takes vouchers at the Franciscan monastery. Once, receiving our voucher, she commented: "Secret Dalmatia? They have the nicest clients!"
Just got back to Boston - we had an amazing time.
The way you arranged our logistics from the time we landed (save for an early flight) to details about pick-ups, hotels, daily activities was tremendous.
We loved each spot and would not really have changed a thing.
Split – it was great to fly in and Hotel Judita Palace was an ideal place to start our trip. The walking tour was a great way to start. Saša was lovely! The dinner of wine tasting and local cheese and meat was amazing. Just a note – many people from the US may not eat as much meat or ham/pork (for us, it was not an issue) – but it is something to ask. The wines were good – not great (as we then experienced amazing wines later on our trip).
We loved the falls the next day and the time of day was perfect for us – it was lower on tourists and we had a chance to hike in the am and give the kids an opportunity to sleep in a bit.
Dinner that night behind the “closed doors” with Tatjana and her husband was memorable and I would do it again and recommend it to anyone. We felt a little “sloppy” since we came right from the falls and swimming to dinner at her house – it was hot and we were fine (in fact, I changed to dry cloths but Natalie and the kids were fine).
The next two days with Domagoj was among my personal favorite – LOVED him and all the activities and his historic knowledge. I don’t think the “typical” family would have done too well on the bike ride – it was a challenge. Dom was great and it was well worth the whole bike ride seeing the Natural spring. The walk to the monastery was beyond belief. For me, getting this exercise in was good timing on our trip. Both Dom’s picnic dinner and then the wine lunch were among our top meals (more on that). It would have been nice to have a little more time with the team at Senjković winery. We could have taken a later ferry so it was our choice to leave when we did. There was another couple so we were a bit slow to start the lunch (as we certainly were in no rush).
We also really, really enjoyed our day in the Adriatic sea – we ended up getting to Hvar after 6PM since we enjoyed our time with Tom and Tom. They picked such a special spot for lunch. Probably the best grilled whole fish of the week (get the name of the restaurant – it’s worth going ). Swimming and naps on the boat/yacht was perfect spot in our trip.
Hvar was worth it for us – the Hotel was fine – great service and amazing views (and it was the only hotel with a gym in it). Kids went out that night and enjoyed – and it was fun for all of us to see and compare and contrast. We realize that if you’re Croatian, it’s a foreign party town and not really what the country is about but still fun! We had dinner at Giaxa sitting in a palace square – unreal. Food was ok, wine was great.
Korčula island was wonderful as well – we loved our buggy adventure and lunch (they even took us on their boat for a traditional meal) – again, perfect for us. The views from the buggy were picturesque.
Something to recommend to any food lovers – the final dinner we had on the Island was at Lešić Dimitr – we did the chef’s tasking with wine pairing sitting outside on the terrace – I would list it was one of the top 5 dinners we’ve ever had (combination of food, location, location, location, wine, service, weather) – it’s up there with Chevre d'or in Eze. We got a detailed run down of each dish and wine (including history of each wine). We also happened to have dinner next to a wedding party and had the bride and Groom join us for a drink (or two) after their guests left.
The hotel suite was really cool – it rained day 1 and our patio didn’t dry out too well. I personally found the room very dark given that we were overlooking the sea and had such amazing views a blast. But we enjoyed the big Jacuzzi baths and the service was amazing. We had some free time which was great but didn’t get settled on a beach or area to hang together – we ended up doing our own things (which was fine).
And to cap off the trip was our tasting day with Mario on the Pelješac peninsula – we learned a lot about how wines are made and loved the day. We managed to bring back and ship 3 cases of wine for our Croatia week at our beach house. It turns out that, we eat like Croatians (simple salads, grilled meats and fish) so we are dedicating a week with our wine!
Finally – Dubrovnik was an amazing city and good end to our journey- the guided am tour was great (we added the synagogue) we enjoyed resting on the Adriatic again in the afternoon. On our own, we did a sunset wall walk before our final dinner.
Personally, if I could have figured out 1-2 mornings of exercise, I would have been even better (but that’s just me and not most others).
Count on us again!
Thank you for the welcome home email! All I can tell you is that we had a wonderful trip, thanks to you and Secret Dalmatia.
Every plan you made for us was just perfect and worked like clockwork. Every driver was on time, pleasant and helpful, and oh, the guides.......they were fabulous, each and every one of them. The hotels were excellent and the car rental was just as we expected. We can't thank you enough for your attention to the details, and for even being so accommodating when we called to change something.
We truly enjoyed seeing and learning about your beautiful country. We have 2 sons - one has been to Croatia and the other has a desire to do so. It will be his 10th anniversary in 2 years and Colin and I would love to give he and his wife a trip to Croatia for that anniversary, so you will be hearing from me again!
I will not hesitate to recommend you and Secret Dalmatia to anyone who might ask me about how we planned out trip. You were fabulous!!
Again, thank you.
We are now home in rainy, grey New York and only have the fondest memories of our wonderful trip that we came back from. Every bit of our Croatian experience was absolutely delightful and we have you and your team of people to thank. All of our guides, including our voyages with Dom, Peter and Tom, brought the best service and ultimate relaxing holiday. They tended to our every need and it was obvious they were proud to share their country with us for a short while; educating us and enlightening us on the topography, culture, history and cuisine. The hotels were lovely was well. We very much enjoyed all of our stays (especially the balcony and sea view in hvar!) The only hotel we might have changed was the hotel in Dubrovnik. We were first surprised of the location but then realized it was only a 10 minute bus ride to old city, which was quite convenient. However, some things in the room weren't working and the staff didn't seem to make an effort to assist us (TV, phone, security box for example were all not working or needed some care). Be that as it may, this didn't dampen our stay and the meal at Pantarul (short walking distance) certainly made up for it! What a fantastic recommendation. Thank you again for making our first anniversary trip so memorable. It made us also realize there's still so much of Croatia to see and rest assured, you'll be the first ones we call when we decide to explore it! Please also send our regards and thanks to Alan. He has quite a business that he should be very proud of!

Our return flights were both fine. Departing Zagreb was well organized and efficient.
Our luggage arrived with us this time.
We had a wonderful visit to Croatia and Slovenia. Your guides were professional, courteous and helpful to us throughout the trip. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.
We appreciated your attention to detail. The fact that we could communicate with you quickly and you were available to resolve any issues was very important to us.
We will highly recommend Secret Dalmatia to our friends and family who want to visit Croatia.
Thank you again

I am slowly getting over jet-lag and the stress of our return flights home. On top of it all, I managed to wrench some back muscles.
We did love our trip to beautiful Croatia. The country is very beautiful and scenic, and the people were all so nice. Our trip arrangements, through Secret Dalmatia, worked seamlessly. Every driver and guise was on time , courteous and knowledgeable. We learned a lot.
We had some unique experiences that we would definitely recommend to others: the truffle hunt with Nikola and his three friendly dogs, the lunch at Tatjana's house, where we also enjoyed meeting her husband Kaja and their son. It was a very personal afternoon.
The one difficult day was the day we went to Plitivice. The drives were long, but there was no other way to do it without staying over.
We enjoyed meeting Andrea at the Hotel Judith's. He is so memorable and was fun to meet.
The Monte Mulini and the Villa Dubrovnik were both very special hotels.
If there's anything else you need, please let me know.
Thanks so much Dubravka for an amazing 9 day adventure thru Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia.
People ask us what our favorite part was and the answer is that every day was a unique and extremely memorable experience.
The guides, drivers and all the other people that hosted us were very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining.
You did an amazing job tailoring our trip to the things we wanted to see and experience.
We hope to send many of our friends your way!!!
Just wanted to thank you for everything this past week we absolutely loved the trip! We both agree that this was one of the best experiences we've ever had!
Sorry we never actually got to meet face to face but maybe next time! We are definitely planning on coming back and doing another trip with you guys in the future!
Thanks again for everything!

Monica & I hope you've been well! So sorry for the delay in responding with our comments on the trip. Good news - A couple we are friends with is getting married in Rome and will likely go to Croatia on their honeymoon! We will send them your way if they choose Croatia.
The short answer is the trip was absolutely amazing. We fell in love with your country, the people, the culture, and, of course, the food / wine / etc.
We honestly couldn't think of anything to change / we didn't like. It was tough for us to hit the winery's / 13 course meal so soon after landing due to jet lag, but, that was OUR fault not yours as we chose to fly overnight and missed a night of sleep.
The only thing I think would be helpful would be to arrange some sort of system for tipping the many great drivers, guides, & skippers we encounter throughout the trip. It's tough to always have the right amounts of Kunas in hand to pay each of them appropriately.
Perhaps at the end of the trip there could be a page with each persons name, what they did with you on the trip, and a recommended tip. Then, the person traveling wouldn't have to worry about not being able to tip after each experience and can then tip them all at once at the end?
As far as favorites go -- It's hard to pick out a few because each city & experience was amazing in it's own way.
If I had no other choice, however, here's a few we'd personally highlight:
Krka Waterfalls - Unbelievable. It's beautiful enough to look at, let alone be able to swim in. Loved this.
The private lunch on Brac at the family's estate / winery. Such a hidden gem & had a great time talking life & culture with our guide. Was very happy he joined us for the meal / great conversation.
The private motor boat transfer / island hopping en route to Hvar -- beautiful water, scenery, jumping in the water in the small coves with only 10-15 people in them, seeing the caves, and having a great skipper that could tell you history, the local beaches / sights, etc was such a wonderful and relaxing experience. It felt like a private jet ride on water.
All the wine tours were wonderful, we did love in particular the wine tours + abandoned village dinner on Hvar. The whole day had a combination of education, great conversation, great wine, and then the private / romantic dining experience in the village. It hit every note.
In Dubrovnik, the hotel you picked was absolutely stunning. Our room overlooked the local beach and we would sit out there, drink wine, and reminisce about the entire trip. The service and food at the hotel were both excellent as well.
Favorite spots in Dubrovnik were the trolley, the small uninhabited island off the coast that had the wild animals and beautiful beach on it (we found a spot to cliff jump & met another great couple there, was a blast). Also, the "beach bars" that were on the rocks outside the ancient walls were such a blast.
Again, everything was wonderful - those stand out to us personally because we loved the new experiences. Also, without the people (you, the guides, Croatian locals) we would not have had the same trip. The people of Croatia truly do make it special. Countless good conversations, jokes, etc just by meeting and talking to strangers who became friends.
We want to come back as soon as we can! Next time we plan on coming with friends. Drinks on us!
Derek / Monica
Hope this finds you well. Here you go. Sorry it's taken so long
When we set out to look for the best honeymoon package and destination, we had no idea we would get something that would be way beyond our expectations. As a couple, we knew we wanted to travel to Europe on our honeymoon but we had absolutely no idea where to start! So we initially we set out to speak to local travel agents who plan for Europe Trips, but none of their packages came close to what we were looking for.
After almost a month of searching, we saw some great reviews of Secret Dalmatia on Trip Advisor. This was the beginning of the most beautiful journey we've been on as a couple.
From the onset, we realised that Secret Dalmatia are not your typical travel agent - they go above and beyond to tailor a tour that speaks to your likes and above all comfort.
They went out of their way to answer all our questions and in no time at all, we were convinced Croatia would be 0ur honeymoon destination!!!
And we chose right :) We fell in love with the country, the friendly people, beautiful weather and picturesque views. Natasa from Secret Dalmatia ensured we had a combination of all sorts of exciting things to do, from the walking tours of the Zagreb, to the breaktakingly beautiful Plifizer Lakes, on to the sunny shores of Split, Hinterland Hikes and a trip to Dubvronik. We loved everything about the trip, including the cooking classes with Tatjana and her family, the one-day boat ride visiting various islands and of course dinner in Hinterland with the most delightful guide, Dom.
For any couple, group of friends looking for exclusive travel in one of the most beautiful countries, we highly recommend Secret Dalmatia.
Great job Allan, Natasa and team for helping us create such beautiful memories. We look forward to our next visit.

Thank you so much he was awesome. The hike was one of our highlights.
I would highly recommend you to anyone traveling to Croatia. All of the city guides were fantastic. They were knowledge and friendly with a lovely sense of humor...outstanding! The drivers were also terrific...friendly and engaging and happy to converse.
My daughter and I had a very special and memorable trip. It was nice knowing you were looking after us.
Thank you so much. I wish I could provide you with improvement feedback...but everything was fantastic!
I have told my friends they should visit your beautiful country:)
