Croatia’s historical heritage is still, for the most part, unknown to the general public even though it boasts numerous treasures listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Emperor Diocletian’s Palace in Split, the historic old towns of Trogir & Dubrovnik, St. James Cathedral in Šibenik...Traces of centuries passed can still be seen on the Venetian facades in Dalmatia, the Italian feel of the Istrian peninsula, and central European Zagreb and Varaždin intertwined with local influences. Croatia offers sights and treasures for the most demanding eyes.
Croatia’s culinary traditions faithfully reflect its tumultuous history, serving an assortment of foods and wines which differ significantly between the country’s regions. The hearty dishes and their spicy aftertastes on the North genuinely remind of Croatia’s Germanic and Hungarian heritage, but also of cold winters and hard labor in the flatlands. The wine cellars and olive groves of Istria and Dalmatia pay a tribute to its Greek and Roman heritage, while light fish dishes with lots of vegetables serve the Adriatic sunshine on a plate. Traveling the islands, learn how different same foods or grapes can taste just one island over. Dobar tek and uzdravlje!
The most indented coast of the Mediterranean, the Croatian coast of the Adriatic Sea counts over 1.000 islands, delivering a dynamic and incredibly scenic sailing environment. The Northern Adriatic (Istria to Zadar) brings active, exciting sailing among unique islands like Pag, Krk or Silba. With a backdrop of the snow-capped Velebit mountains, and 5 national parks in the region, the Northern Dalmatia (Zadar to Kornati) is ideal for lovers of beauty and nature. Central Dalmatian islands (Split to Pelješac peninsula) retain their distinct character despite close distances, while sailing in the southern Adriatic (Dubrovnik county) showcases history, culture and lush nature in an idyllic sailing setting.
Just slightly smaller than West Virginia, Croatia hosts 8 National Parks and 11 parks of nature at its relatively small territory. UNESCO listed Plitvice Lakes are bound to leave you in awe, likewise sailing the Kornati archipelago or hiking and rock-climbing in NP Paklenica. The diversity of Croatia’s landscapes is also impressive, from the flatlands of the north, over the central mountainous area to the hilly Istrian peninsula and Mediterranean ambiance of the Adriatic coast. Whether you are a nature lover or not so much, taking a dip in the Adriatic with snow-capped mountains in the backdrop is a uniquely inspiring experience!

Situations like that can happen but we are always here for you in Croatia no matter if you need to re-arrange your itinerary, obtain special shopping advice or if you have a question about your itinerary.”
